無狀無名設計事務所 is our Chinese name in full. 設計 means design. 事務所 refers to studio. 無狀無名 is our identity. 無 means nothing and represents emptiness in a very philosophical way. 無 is pronounced as “mou” in Cantonese, 狀 as “zong” and 名 as “ming”. You will find the composition of our English name “M(ou) Z(ong) + M(ou) M(ing)” as well as the symbol “+“ is the separation between two phrases, 無狀 and 無名. 無狀 literally means shapeless, while 無名 literally means anonymous. Through our name, we hope to express our power of differences and to define the borderless constitution for the future.

All year round, we will recruit talents from different visual arts fields for organising distinct visual arts projects, to promote the visual aesthetics of PoDs. New visual artists can participate in exhibitions or publications with a lower entry threshold. In addition, we can guide the young disabled talents in their development of career paths.

In this regard, we gathered numerous PoDs, who have practised greatly on visual aesthetics, thereby unleashing the unlimited power of differences.

To succeed in our vision and mission, we actively invest in social innovation. By planning new modular social innovation projects, we hope to form a final social output progressively and eventually promote social inclusion.
