國際上有海量的企業管治標準 ISO 26000是其一。這是一個由國際標準化組織 (International Organization for Standardization) 建立的國際標準，定立企業管治中闗於社會責任的標準議題。

尊重社會和環境是企業管治的關鍵成功因素，ISO 26000標準為人們提供指引。ISO 26000 的應用越來越被重視，實為一眾機構或組織提供一種評估標準化方法，檢視他們的可持續發展的承諾及整體表現。

For businesses and organizations committed to operating in a socially responsible way, there’s ISO 26000.

It provides guidance to those who recognize that respect for society and environment is a critical success factor. As well as being the “right thing” to do, application of ISO 26000 is increasingly viewed as a way of assessing an organization’s commitment to sustainability and its overall performance.

下圖的摘錄自2012年出版《企業的社會責任》(La responsabilité sociale de l'entreprise)，由 桑・帕斯卡・貢德 Jean-Pascal Gond 和 積克斯・伊加倫斯 Jacques Igalens 撰寫，由法國大學出版社 (Presses Universitaires de France) 和 國際標準第26000號 (ISO 26000) 共同出版。在第 12至13 頁中，描述了 ISO 26000 中解決的 7 個核心主題及其關鍵議題。
