Design Studio MZ+MM’s Impact Factsheet 2020-2025
Design Studio MZ+MM has been operating on the mission of social inclusion since starting up. We continuously published our impact summaries on our social enterprise's Instagram page. Entering its sixth year, we generate a more detailed impact report, shared in the form of a factsheet and impact stories.
Some information from the factsheet will be elaborated in the following impact stories section and will not be repeated here:
Accumulated 24 People with Disabilities (PwDs) have been working together, while there are 10 hearing-impaired, 9 physically-impaired, 3 with neurodiversity and 2 with other impairments;
Accumulated 63 PwDs were engaged over the time, while there are 21 hearing-impaired, 18 physically-impaired, 14 with neurodiversity and 10 with other impairments;
Accumulated 8,468 working hours with PwDs including interns, while 2,456 hours from employees, 4,989 hours from freelancers and 1,023 hours from interns;
Accumulated 2,618 hours of tutorship to PwDs, about 30% of the accumulated working hours;
Allowances of HK$18K reimbursed to interns;
Among our 20 creative partners*, 90% belonging to PwDs, while 70% of the total are female;
Among the 18 partners with disabilities*, there are 7 hearing-impaired, 6 physically-impaired, 3 with neurodiversity and 2 with other impairments.
All data were measured as of January 2026.
* Deducted 2 DMD sufferers who deceased in 2024.
Impact Stories–Chapter 1:

2 accumulated hearing-impaired jobseekers, who were graduates of the design institutes from different provinces of China (but not being hired ultimately).

1 accumulated unit, which was a group of undergraduate students from a different province of China, requesting an interview for a research assignment on the theme of social inclusion (but not materialized ultimately).

6 accumulated units, which were doctoral students, academic research centers, and undergraduate students from the Hong Kong SAR, requesting interviews for research assignments on the theme of social inclusion.

Impact Stories–Chapter 4:
1 successful case out of 3 accumulated ex-employees, who are the People with Disabilities having no prior design experience before joining us. Successful case refers to the ex-employee could seek a design-related job in the open market and has been employed for more than a year.

2 successful cases out of 6 accumulated interns, who wish to pursue careers in the creative industries and have successfully enrolled in design-related courses at higher education institutions.

6 interviews conducted, which came from inclusion special features, business circle columns, or solo interview programs of mainstream media in the Hong Kong SAR.

Design Studio MZ+MM is a local-based work integration social enterprise (endorsed by SEE Mark) in Hong Kong, which provides graphic design services.
