Our Founder won the Global Excellence and Impact Catalyst Awards
[Hong Kong｜11 December, 2025] Our founder and Design Director, Alan, has just received the Global Excellence Award and Impact Catalyst Award of the International Sustainable Design Awards 2025 for his project, "Upcycling Maternity :: Set of Diaper Bag and Accessories for Green Baby Garden, Hong Kong". The award presentation ceremony is held at The QUBE of PMQ in Hong Kong. Following the receipt of the Best Sustainability Brand at the 2024 BDA Brand Design Awards from the Hong Kong Designers Association last year, we felt a thrill and honour.
Before founding Design Studio MZ+MM (無狀無名設計事務所), Alan was commissioned to create an upcycling solution for the Green Baby Garden, a social enterprise affiliated with Caritas Hong Kong. He designed and oversaw the production of a set of functional baby products for outdoor use, utilising excess unwanted baby clothing collected by Green Baby. This product line included a diaper bag, a clean clothes bag, and an eating utensil wrapper.
The knowledge he gained and the recognition received from this upcycling initiative have equipped Alan with the confidence in pursuing more sustainable design or universal design projects in the future.

ISDA 2025 Awards Presentation Ceremony
The International Sustainable Design Awards (ISDA), organised by the Hong Kong Art and Sustainable Design Association (HKASD), is an international platform aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) to empower individuals, teams, and organisations worldwide to drive responsible, forward-thinking design that contributes to the well-being of our planet and communities. Projects that best meet the four main judging criteria—Creativity, Sustainability, Aesthetics, and Impact—will be recognised for their outstanding achievement.
ISDA 2025 presents a mix of different awards to honour different qualities of each excellent work. These awards are Global Grand Award, Global Excellence Award, Innovative Creativity Award, Aesthetic Visionary Award, Judges' Commendation Award, Sustainability Leadership Award, Impact Catalyst Award, and Honourable Mention.

Design Studio MZ+MM is a social enterprise (SEE Mark No. SEE 0114) based in Hong Kong, providing various types of graphic design services. Currently, the team is composed of hearing-impaired and hearing designers who practice disability inclusion, which is the primary reason for promoting "diversity, equity and inclusion" in corporate organizations. We support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals SDGs: 10 “Reduced Inequalities” and 17 “Promote Partnerships for the Goals”.
